Steven’s professional background includes advanced certifications as a Drug Recognition Expert, instructor, and tactical operations specialist with expertise in aerial-based surveillance. His experience in managing critical incidents and training personnel has shaped his ability to lead with both strategic foresight and operational discipline.

Prior to founding Forward Security Group, Steven spent over a decade in management with The Coca-Cola Company, where he directed regional operations, led high-performing teams, and earned multiple awards for leadership excellence. Today, he combines tactical expertise with executive insight to ensure FSG delivers proactive, technology-driven, and client-focused protection services across California.

CFO

David Koh serves as Chief Financial Officer of Forward Security Group, overseeing financial strategy, organizational planning, and operational efficiency. With a background in law enforcement and extensive experience in tactical coordination and emergency response, David combines analytical precision with real-world leadership to ensure the company’s continued stability and growth.

Since 2019, David has served as a police officer in multiple specialized capacities, including Motor Officer, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Tactical Flight Officer (TFO). His hands-on experience in both field operations and crisis management provides him with a unique understanding of risk, resource allocation, and mission-critical decision-making.

David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Irvine, along with dual associate degrees in Math & Science and Social & Behavioral Studies. His diverse expertise in finance, operations, and tactical response allows him to align Forward Security Group’s fiscal goals with its commitment to safety, performance, and innovation.

Dacota Cummins serves as President of Forward Security Group, leading company operations, personnel development, and client strategy with a focus on precision, accountability, and innovation. With over eight years of combined experience in law enforcement and private security, he brings a tactical mindset and executive-level leadership to every facet of the organization.

A former United States Marine, Dacota’s service has instilled values of accountability, adaptability, and teamwork that define his leadership approach today. Following his military career, he transitioned into law enforcement, where he continues to serve as a police officer with specialized training in SWAT tactics, firearms, and drug recognition. His extensive field background also includes crisis response, incident command, and large-scale event security operations.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Dacota bridges field experience with executive insight—overseeing operations that are both disciplined and adaptable to the evolving security landscape.

VICE PRESIDENT

James Son serves as Vice President of Operations for Forward Security Group, where he oversees field operations, personnel training, and client protection strategy. With a distinguished background in both military and law enforcement service, he brings tactical precision, leadership discipline, and operational expertise to every engagement.

A former United States Marine Sergeant, James specialized in infantry leadership, range instruction, and joint fires coordination—roles that developed his ability to lead effectively in complex and high-pressure environments. His experience extends to executive protection, crisis management, and surveillance operations, providing discreet and reliable security solutions for VIPs and high-profile clients.

James holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Santa Monica College and is fluent in both English and Korean. Known for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, he ensures Forward Security Group’s operational standards remain among the highest in the industry.

Edwin Badillo serves as Chief Operating Officer of Forward Security Group, where he oversees daily operations, logistics, and client coordination across California. With over nine years of experience in executive protection, residential security, and armored transport, Edwin brings a wealth of field expertise and operational discipline to the company’s leadership team.

A U.S. Army veteran and qualified security manager, Edwin has protected high-net-worth individuals, celebrities, and corporate clients in dynamic environments requiring discretion, adaptability, and rapid response. His extensive training includes certifications in firearms, executive protection, emergency medical response, and advanced counter-ambush driving, as well as multiple state-level permits and concealed carry licenses.

As COO, Edwin applies his tactical background and leadership skills to ensure every Forward Security Group detail operates with precision, professionalism, and the highest standard of safety.
